A book launch with a difference !
It was with great happiness that Brian welcomed many friends, family and clients to the official launch of his latest book YOUR BEAUTIFUL LIFE – A GIFT.
As you can imagine, this was no ordinary event. The title of the book was brought to life with the special guests Brian had invited to speak about the lives they each have had and how they see and value the great gift of every day.
Again, in typical Brian fashion, he facilitated the distances people would have to come to celebrate this event with him by holding two launches, one in Meath (his home county) and one in Dublin. Speaking at the Meath launch were Brian’s sister Margaret Hayes and the herbalist Sean Boylan – both well-known in Meath. And at the Dublin launch the special guests were his sister Margaret, John Lonergan (former Governor of Mountjoy Prison) and Donal Donnelly (former prisoner in Crumlin Road Gaol Belfast).
The theme for the evening was a favoured one of Brian’s which is about how we handle the situations in our lives. So many people attribute their happiness or unhappiness to the actual circumstances in their lives which, as Brian explained, is not the case at all. No matter how awful or difficult the circumstances we find ourselves in, it’s HOW we handle these that really matters. All three guest speakers spoke eloquently about this with wonderful real-life examples of how they had faced very challenging and painful situations which called on every fibre of their being to respond well to. In how they handled their situations as they did, they grew and have been able to support others in their life’s challenges. Brian spoke of the wonderful opportunity each day brings, to make each day “a new adventure” and to make the most of our world and our beautiful lives…every day.
To all who attended both nights and listened to these people it was a great experience and quite different to any other book launch they had ever attended. The book is truly an inspirational book, inviting us to see each day as an opportunity to spot the richness in our world and the riches in ourselves as human beings.
